The CORE Festoon lighting system running from a CORE EnergyPoint battery unit is a string lighting system for temporary or long-term installation indoors or outdoors. Light strings have 10 lamps spaced 0.5m apart with total length 5metres. They can be plugged together for longer runs up to 10 strings/50metres and have a 3m ‘starter cable’ from the battery pack to the first light string allowing the system to be installed at reasonable height (eg across a car park). The light output is a strong 6 Watts per light string which provides good area lighting especially with multiple runs joined to create a longer run.
Four battery sizes are available to suit the number of festoon strings and desired run-time in capacities of 16Ah, 26Ah and 52Ah. On the 3 larger packs a simple carrycase is provided to increase portability especially if carrying multiple units together. This also gives protection and provides the means to hang them off the ground (from a tree branch, fence or stand etc.).
With professional quality cables made from high-grade materials but with price-points to suit everyone, the systems are capable of being installed in gardens for private use just as well as market stall lighting, pub gardens, outdoor centres, events companies, village halls and many other outdoor commercial uses. Or simply use them as brighter tree lights to decorate a tree/Christmas tree.
Manufactured by CORE in the UK the lithium battery packs are high-capacity units compared with other technologies using high-quality lithium cells used across the entire CORE range of battery products with 14 proven years of use. Weighing just 3Kg even for the largest of these packs (0.5Kg for the smallest) makes them extremely lightweight for the energy they contain and are IP65 rated for outdoor use the same as the festoon system.
